Despite appearances, I'm not going all emo on you guys. I just needed a bit of a change. For those of you who are wondering, the header was created from a screen cap and quote from Torchwood ... I disliked season one with a fiery passion, but season two is winning me over in a big way. I'm even loving Owen, which is surely one the signs of the apocalypse.
(ETA: I think I fixed it so everyone can see the header! Please let me know if you're still having problems.)
In related news, would anyone like to own a gently-used Ugly Betty mood theme? It didn't quite go with the new decor, but I'd hate for it to go to waste. If you can tell me how to share the mood theme, it's all yours.

Huh, I guess I should have posted one of those "on hiatus" notices I've seen around. The fact of the matter is, after submitting my entry for one holiday exchange, I buggered off to attempt National Novel Writing Month. Sadly, I did not reach the 50K word count goal, but I managed to crank out 30K of my original novel. I'm calling it a win.
Frankly, the effort exhausted me. But I have taken a week or so to rest my writing muscles and am now ready to get back into fandom again. I've got one Naruto fanfic in the works, and of course I have four or five outstanding Harry Potter projects. At the very least I'll be posting a summary/critique of everything I've accomplished this year.
Also, apparently we can flag for "adult content" on LJ now. Meh. I won't be flagging anyone else's journals, but you may note that I've set my journal default to Adult Concepts. If it keeps The Man from deleting my journal, I'll go along. I wasn't around for most of the wank this must have engendered, but I'm already over it.
Anyway, blah blah blah. I am obviously so far behind on my Flist that I have no idea what's going on in fandom right now. Thoughts?

My reactions to OOTP and DH will follow after my board exams. But I just wanted to let you all know, IM IN UR PROPHECY, SLASHIN UR SHIPZ! I won't arrive until Thursday afternoon (booooo), but here's my slash schedule:
Friday 10 AM - Brunch with the Snupin fans
Friday 6 PM - Dinner with the H/D shippers
Friday 8 PM - Hot tubbing with the H/D shippers (?)
Saturday 6 PM (before the ball) - Snape-centric meetup/dinner
Saturday after the ball - After Party with all the slashers
Huzzah! Hope to see some of you there XD
